What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst - Budgets and Forecasting position at Associates Systems LLC?

Responsibilities include:
Under supervision, will generate monthly performance review briefings using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Will support performance of budgeting and forecasting functions in support of directorates, project managers, Associate Program Managers, management and customers.
- Will support performance of variance analysis between actual costs and estimates, ensuring appropriate charging of costs to specified work breakdown structure (WBS) line items. Will research and document root cause for variances, assess and partner corrective action and mitigation plans.
- Will support senior business analysts in monitoring costs to task plans on a weekly basis
- Will work as part of a team responsible for generating, validating and submitting contractual financial deliverables (DRs) to NASA and preparing management briefing reports summarizing cost performance at a total contract, IPT or customer level/funding source.
- Require excellent time management skills to be able to multi-task without sacrificing accuracy and deadlines, self motivated, demonstrated initiative and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Certification/Other Requirement:
Requires BA or BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration plus three (3) years of appropriate and progressive experience; additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
- Excellent Excel skills required to roll large amount of financial data, perform advance excel functions to support data analysis and report generation
- Self-motivated, disciplined and team-player
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Power Point for presentations and briefings.
- Ability to learn People Soft tools and functionalities.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if necessary
