The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Case Manager -Rehabilitative Services Associate (RSA) - Employment Specialist who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community.
What you will be doing?
- The Case Manager RSA is responsible for developing and implementing individual programs to maximize the clients’ independent community living skills related to employment.
- The Case Manager RSA will also be responsible for coordinating services to meet criteria of Milestone, SEP, and IPS (Individual Placement Services) by following the guidelines of IPS, and the Employment First Program to assist clients in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their preferences.
- The Case Manager RSA will engage in job development/networking in the community approximately 65% of the work week. Complete daily documentation of services and IPS activities provided in accordance with state and agency standards as applicable.
- The Case Manager RSA is expected to work with a team of various service providers within the agency to ensure a positive client-centered approach. A minimum of one Client Centered Consultation for each client is required by all treatment team staff to ensure collaboration across programs with periodic updates to maintain this collaboration.
- This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.

Qualifications
What will you bring to the table?
Education:
- A High School Diploma or GED, and 1-year preferred experience working with individuals with disabilities. Must obtain ACRE certification/training within 6 months of employment.
- License/certifications:
- Must obtain CESP certification within 1 year of start date.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience preferred in behavioral health or experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
What are the other requirements?
- Be active in professional trade groups.
- Be on time to scheduled shifts and trainings.
- Provide transportation to clients in personal or agency vehicles when necessary for work, shopping, appointments, etc. Assist clients with setting up and using reliable transportation if needed to ensure their success upon entering the workforce if needed.
- Be able to enter data into the computer and type reports.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with co-workers, agencies and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a team approach to services.
- Maintain client rights.
- Participate in agency committees as assigned.
- Assure the coordination of services in the community to meet client needs (i.e. Financial, legal, advocacy, medical, etc.)
- Promote community / family involvement in facility programs.
- Participate in and promote organizational and division fund-raising and annual events.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of client activities.
- Clock in and out per agency policy, not to exceed 40 hours per scheduled work week without prior authorization from Employment First Manager.
- Request scheduled and unscheduled PTO utilizing Paycom. Complete add punch requests on Paycom as necessary.
- Follow program and agency procedures for notifying management when unable to attend a scheduled shift / training.
- Perform all other related duties, as assigned and in accordance with AID policies and philosophies.
- Promotes client wellness through coaching, counseling, consultation, motivational enhancement, and information and referral services to clients facing various health challenges, as needed.
- Promote awareness and respect for the diversity of our clients, employees, families and other stakeholders.
- Ensure Activity Group for Job Readiness is being led in a professional and accurate manner based on client’s feedback and topic information.
