What you will be doing?
- The Engagement Specialist QMHP Bilingual BH is responsible for working with current behavioral health clients that are assigned to case managers and therapists that are disengaging from services or at risk of discharge due to non-attendance in services.
- Provide case management and community support to clients to explore and problem solve client’s motivation, goals, and barriers to services in order to ensure that they are able to remain engaged and gain maximum benefit of services.
- May require a small client case load in order to provide case management and counseling services to clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.
- The Engagement Specialist is expected to work with a team of behavioral health service providers within the agency.
- This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. Remote work arrangements are not a right or entitlement of employment. They are discretionary and subject to demonstrated performance and operational needs. Approval may be rescinded at any time at the sole discretion of management.
- Attendance at scheduled work hours including evening hours.
- Complete client outreach remotely or in the community to re-engage clients struggling with attendance or other barriers to accessing services.
- Conduct eligibility assessments, assess barriers, and review treatment plans and goal development with clients to reduce barriers.
- Function as a resource to team of case managers and therapists around retention and adherence to services.
- Complete updates and reviews of clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules.
- Refer clients to other community resources and AID programs/services as needed.
- Complete required documentation (IM CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis.
- Meet minimum service provision/billing standards.
- Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
- Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies, and procedures
- Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues

Qualifications
What will you bring to the table?
Qualifications:
Education:Master’s degree in a human services field
License/certifications: LSW/ LCSW or LPC/ LCPC preferred
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health (Preferred)
Skills: Fluent in verbal and written Spanish and English, (Required)
What are the other requirements?
- Complete treatment plan development meetings with clients.
- Provide effective counseling/therapy services to clients in variety of settings (in their home, community, office setting, or by telehealth).
- Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve service provision
- Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor.
- Maintain a positive professional working relationship with agencies and other stakeholders
- Maintain a positive professional working relationship with coworkers
- Provide documentation to primary staff to assist client in maintaining public entitlements as applicable.
- Assist clients in obtaining/maintaining public entitlements
- Participate in agency committees as assigned
