Association for Mental Health and Wellness is a recognized leader in state-of-the-art rehabilitation and support services to assist people whose lives have been interrupted by mental illness and / or trauma to lead vocationally-productive and socially satisfying roles and lifestyles. Clinic services are offered as a strategy in support of meeting client’s recovery goals.
At this time, Association for Mental Health and Wellness is seeking a Psychiatrist or Medical Doctor for our New York State-licensed Personalized Recovery-Oriented Services (PROS), Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment (CORE) and Intensive and Sustained Engagement Teams (INSET) programs :
Compensation : $250 / per hour
Hours : Approximately 4-6 hours per month
Responsibilities :
- Provide clinical consultation and collaboration to MHAW’s multidisciplinary clinical staff, as needed and regular bi-weekly consultation to the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner staff.
- Clinical consultation will focus on discussion of resolution of complex cases, review and development of protocols, medication management, psychiatric and medical assessments, symptom monitoring and education, and crisis intervention / assessment skills.
- Active participation in MHAW’s internal incident Review Committee process to support the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of clinical risk protocols, risk management, quality improvement, and incident prevention.
- Provide coverage for planned and emergency absences of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner(s).
- Participation in planning and strategy; including meetings with funders and the Board of Directors as needed.
