Experienced Line Cook Overview:
As a member of the Line Cook team, you will be responsible for preparing food items according to standard recipes. Our Line Cooks will prepare menu items while maintaining a clean workstation. Our Line Cooks stock and properly store all food items to meet sanitation standards. Our ideal Line Cook will be detailed oriented, will work well in a team environment, and will enjoy serving customers in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner. Our Line Cooks must be passionate about providing exceptional service and hospitality.
Requirements
Experienced Line Cook Requirements:
· Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment
· Follow plate specs and recipes to prepare soups, meats, seafood, sauces, vegetables, desserts, and other food products
· Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
· Maintain spotlessly clean and sanitized restaurant and safe work environment.
· Label and date all food stored & Rotate food as needed
· Follow approved preparation procedures and presentation standards
· Constantly inspects all food service sections during service time to ensure that the correct standards are maintained
· Maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all State, federal and OSHA regulations
Experienced Line Cook Qualifications:
· Must have food handlers or ServSafe up-to-date
· Previous line cook experience preferred
· Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards knowledge of kitchen equipment
· Able to prepare food according to food handler's guidelines
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs
· High volume, fast-paced full-service restaurant experience is ideal
