What are the responsibilities and job description for the Primary Care Physician position at Association of Clinicians for the Underserved?
We seek a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Primary Care Physician in Internal Medicine or Family Practice to provide exceptional healthcare services to veterans. This full-time position will be based at the Northeast Wisconsin Ambulatory Clinics (NEWAC) and may rotate among Appleton , Cleveland , and Green Bay , WI locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive primary care services, including patient evaluations, history-taking, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Conduct follow-ups for existing medical conditions, ordering diagnostic tests, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Facilitate emergency treatments and transfers when required.
- Ensure continuity of care by coordinating with VA specialists and healthcare teams.
- Document patient care plans and interactions in the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) .
- Actively participate in clinical meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications :
Education : Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution. Foreign medical graduates must possess certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) .
Licensure / Certification : Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia. Board Certification / Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Practice . Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association, Military Training Network, or equivalent).
Experience : Minimum of two years of experience in primary care within the past three years. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (training provided for VA systems if required).
Work Schedule :
Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM. No weekends or federal holidays.
