Landon seeks a full-time Director of Studio and Performing Arts for the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates from diverse backgrounds and perspectives who can inspire and engage boys are encouraged to apply.
The Director of Studio and Performing Arts will be Landon’s champion for the arts across campus and amongst various constituents including current and prospective students and families, alumni, and outside organizations. The Director will lead and manage the School’s Studio and Performing Arts programs, fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment that encourages creativity, artistic expression, and excellence. This role involves facilities and budget management, curriculum development, event planning, and collaboration with faculty, students, and the community, and requires the Director to be available for evening and weekend events as needed. This is a 12-month position.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development
- Manage and evolve a comprehensive studio and performing arts curriculum that aligns with the School’s educational goals, standards, and Core Values.
- Encourage the continued development of lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to various skill levels and artistic disciplines.
- Stay updated with current trends and best practices in arts education to continuously improve the program, including thoughtful, developmentally appropriate repertoire and production selection.
