The Manager, Strategy and Analytics will provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive growth for AORN’s Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) market segments. This individual will collaborate with leaders across the organization to understand market trends, provide proactive insights on products and audience segments, and identify new opportunities for growth. 

 

The ideal candidate has a strategic mindset, strong business acumen and critical thinking. They will have deep expertise in business analytics (sales, marketing, digital) to advise internal teams on optimizing the customer journey, conversions, and revenue growth. This individual will support customer and market insights through primary and secondary research, competitive analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to discover new ways in which the company can leverage data to expand its market position and grow revenue. This role will leverage data analytics, visualization, and modeling techniques to drive strategic decision-making and support business growth.

AORN is based in Denver, CO. Our Manager, Strategy and Analytics will work a hybrid schedule with 1-2 days per month in the office.

More about what you’ll get to do as our Manager, Strategy and Analytics

  • Serves as internal analytics partner to business leaders and teams. Provides proactive insights and data-driven recommendations on products and services. Leverages multiple data sources to provide a complete view of the business and customer.
  • Conducts research on external market, competitive intelligence, and trends to drive data recommendations in support of enterprise strategic planning.
  • Partners with the marketing team on developing Google Analytics dashboards. Advises team members on set-up and ways to optimize the digital customer journey to drive sales and marketing strategies.
  • Provides analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform strategic decision-making, optimization, and revenue identification.
  • Provides expert interpretation of data and delivers actionable recommendations based on analysis to support enterprise strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Develops presentations of data insights using tools such as Tableau or similar.
  • Ensures accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data through data validation measures.
  • Partners with enterprise sales and marketing teams to provide insights on sales, customers, product usage, leads, conversions, and campaign ROI. Provides recommendations to business.
  • Collaborates on the development of customer profiling and predictive modeling solutions to enhance ROI for segments and business lines. Coordinates inputs from a range of businesses to build the forecasting and predictive analytics function.
  • Collaborates with teams to develop consistent, repeatable methodologies, and processes to forecast product / customer sales, market share, and other KPIs.
  • Enables high quality, objective decisions by identifying and advising on key business challenges for the organization through the development and application of insightful business and competitive analysis.
  • Supports organizational planning with cross-functional teams to interpret market trends and forecasts and facilitates action-planning in the organization; key contributor on special projects for AORN’s strategic plan.
  • Performs other special projects as assigned.

 

Must Have’s to be our Manager, Strategy and Analytics:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in a strategic analytics role.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics, optimization strategies, and best practices.
  • Exceptional knowledge and experience using Tableau, SQL.
  • Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and statistical methods.
  • Experience working with and extracting information from database applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced knowledge of Salesforce CRM.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, look-up formulas) and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior level management in formal and informal presentation settings.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic mindset and ability to connect the dots with data and business opportunities.
  • Curious about data and thrives on understanding the ‘why’ behind key trends. Ability to bring together data (quantitative and qualitative) to tell a ‘story’ and recommendations for growth.
  • Strong attention to detail; highly accurate and thorough in all tasks.
  • Aptitude for working with large data sets across multiple systems; able to translate and articulate complex data problems and recommendations to business leaders.
  • Ability to interpret key information from financial reports and market research.
  • Broad familiarity with forecasting methodologies and evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to lead and manage complex matrix teams.
  • Growth mind-set: action-oriented and geared towards driving organizational change.
  • Self-starter: works proactively and demonstrates flexibility in managing changing priorities.

Working Conditions
Working remotely, using a computer, telephone and Teams daily. Ability to travel as needed in support of department and Association initiatives.
