TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking on site Academic Subject Tutors to work with students in Houston, TX. Candidates will be responsible for providing quality in-person tutoring studying at the high school level.
Ideal candidates should be able to work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.
Location: West University Place, TX
Compensation: $25-$40/hr
Classification: Contract (1099)
Tutoring Type: On-site, 60 minute lessons
Responsibilities
- Provide in-person tutoring sessions to students in grades 9-12
- Create lesson plans for individual students.
- Administer practice sets and evaluate student progress.
- Collaborate with students' families to keep them apprised of student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of session details, scores, and student progress.
Requirements
- Earned Bachelor's Degree from a 4 Year College or University
- Experienced teaching or tutoring the posted subject(s) to US students in grades 9-12
- Currently reside within 30 miles of the community mentioned din the job post
- 4-12 hours of weekly availability
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
Schedule:
- Choose your own hours
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
