The Association of Test Preparation, Admissions, and Private Tutoring (TPAPT) is a nonprofit consortium of local, independent tutoring programs and one of our chapters is hiring.
We are seeking motivated and engaging tutors for regular weekly tutoring assignments with students in grades 6-12 in the Houston area.

Tests: ISEE/SSAT/HSPT/SAT/ACT
Classification: Contract
Compensation: $30-$50/hr
Experience: ISEE, SSAT, HSPT or SAT/ACT test expert, experience tutoring or teaching.
The Position:
- Provide in-person tutoring to students preparing for school admissions tests
- Tutoring assignments are typically 60 minutes
- Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
- Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 2PM and 8PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm on weekend days
Requirements:
- 4-12 hours per week of availability
- An earned Bachelor's Degree from a competitive US 4 year degree granting college or university
- Exceptionally clear and effective communication skills
- Demonstrable past experience tutoring or teaching
- A car and the willingness and ability to commute to client homes
- A passion for helping others learn
Compensation:
- $30-$50 /hr commensurate
