Digital Media Artist
Position : Digital Media Artist
Reports to : Art and Design Manager
Compensation : $25 per hour
Job Summary :
The Digital Media Artist develops and produces engaging multimedia content to support the Aquarium’s marketing efforts, exhibit experiences, and fundraising initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the creative and marketing teams to create high-quality digital media, including advertisements, videos, photos, digital promotions, and exhibit materials.
The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting content that captivates, drives engagement, and achieves measurable results. The candidate demonstrates strong skills in both photography and videography, with the ability to edit and produce high-quality content in each medium. They are an expert in digital media production, possess an understanding of social media platforms, and consistently deliver high-quality work. The position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.
Qualifications :Bachelor’s degree in photography, graphic design, communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates with degrees in other fields may qualify with technical training in photography and digital media production.
- Proven expertise in photography, videography, and digital media content creation.
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud suite is required.
- Experience with Sony equipment is essential.
- Develop, film, and produce videos that align with the Aquarium’s mission and goals.
- Generate made-for-social media content, including videos and photos in platform-specific formats, as needed.
- Deliver multiple video and photo assets weekly.
- Design and export interactive assets such as GIFs, animations, and short videos.
- Document Aquarium events, initiatives, and key moments through photography and videography.
- Organize and manage an extensive library of video and photo assets.
- Stay informed on social media trends, pop culture, and best practices for digital content.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during content planning and development.
- Evaluate and recommend equipment upgrades to enhance the quality of video and photo production.
- Must consistently produce high-quality content under tight deadlines.
