Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology will be essential as you assist in the implementation of individualized care plans designed to improve patients' mobility and overall physical function. This position is 1099/independent contractor, servicing from Sacramento to Roseville and Chico area.

Pay rates: $100 per visit

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for patients.
• Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and health management strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and document changes in their condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize knowledge of trigger point therapy and other techniques as appropriate for patient needs.

Experience

• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential.
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with outpatient settings preferred; experience in inpatient care is also valuable.
• Ability to develop care plans that cater to individual patient needs while demonstrating empathy and patience in all interactions.
• Previous experience in physical therapy or related fields will be advantageous for candidates applying for this role.
