We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work with children in various settings, including schools and early intervention programs, to assess and treat speech and language disorders. This role requires a deep understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology as it pertains to speech therapy. The Speech Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing the communication skills of our patients, ensuring they receive the highest level of care. This position is 1099/independent contractor, servicing from Sacramento to Roseville and Chico area.
Pay rates:
- $130 for evals
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve communication skills.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide education and resources to families regarding speech therapy techniques.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in speech therapy and related fields.
Experience
- A degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy as they relate to speech therapy.
- Proven ability in patient assessment and delivering effective patient care.
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus.
