About this role:
The essential functions of the Plumbing Manager are to prioritize, direct, supervise, and train all field technicians. Focus on customer service and delivery of product/service, the Service Manager utilizes customer service training to educate and assist field technicians with regards to educating customers in choosing services, financing options, and handling customer relations. The Service Manager carries out all duties required for the successful operation, service and maintenance of common area plumbing functions in residential and light commercial settings.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
· Oversee and lead a top-performing plumbing team, ensuring high standards of performance and efficiency.
· Collaborate with executive management to develop and execute operational strategies aligned with performance goals.
· Support dispatchers in scheduling technicians based on job requirements, location, and skill set to optimize efficiency.
· Conduct regular site visits for quality control, coaching, and training, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices.
· Maintain and strengthen relationships by visiting clients and customers, expanding the network to create new opportunities.
· Serve as a technical advisor and provide support to field teams, addressing technical issues and offering guidance.
· Review technicians' work orders to ensure compliance with codes and accuracy in execution.
· Act as the primary liaison between office staff and field teams, addressing any technical questions or concerns that arise.
· Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in existing processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
· Manage inventory and control the purchase of materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost control.
· Regularly assess team skills, providing evaluations and targeted coaching to foster professional development and improve performance.
Required Qualifications:
· At least 5 years of proven experience managing plumbers and technicians within a residential service and maintenance operation.
· At least 5 years of experience in Service Management and Dispatch software, including GPS vehicle tracking systems.
· Extensive knowledge of various business functions and operations.
· In-depth understanding of plumbing field concepts, practices, and industry standards.
· Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets.
· Achieve and surpass departmental performance metrics and KPIs to boost revenue and profitability.
· Understand and effectively communicate the benefits of the HCC agreement to clients.
· Use HCC agreement knowledge to attract new clients and expand the client base while building and maintaining strong client relationships.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong computer skills.
· Experienced in managing large teams and office operations.
· Valid driver’s license with a minimum of three years of experience and a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Service Industry experience is preferred
