Armed Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, managing conflicts, and responding to emergencies. The Armed Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of individuals on-site.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security breaches.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
• Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations.
• Conduct regular inspections of property and equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.

Experience

• 3 years as an Armed Security Officer
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance technology and loss prevention strategies is an asset.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
