What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Representative position at Assured?
We're looking for a scrappy, curious, and motivated Business Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel growth. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our prospective customers and play a key role in shaping their first impression of Assured. This is a quota-carrying role with clear paths for growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads
- Identify, qualify, and schedule product demos with ideal customer profiles
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Marketing to refine outreach strategies and messaging
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM and track key performance metrics
- Be a brand ambassador for Assured — professional, helpful, and customer-obsessed
What We’re Looking For:
- 1 years of experience in a sales development, lead generation, or similar role (SaaS preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Grit, resilience, and a willingness to learn from failure and iterate fast
- High level of ownership — you’re proactive, reliable, and results-driven
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
- In-person in our New York office in Union Square.
Nice to Have:
- Experience selling to insurance carriers or in B2B enterprise SaaS
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, or Apollo
