Overview
The Director, Reporting and Finance Data, Corporate is responsible for overseeing and managing the finance data team, ensuring the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data. This role involves leading a team of data professionals, optimizing data processes, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions. The Director, Reporting and Finance Data, Corporate must demonstrate strong leadership, advanced analytical skills, and proficiency in financial data management.

What You'll Do
Data Management:• Oversee the collection, validation, and integration of financial data from various sources.• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness to support effective financial reporting and analysis.
Reporting and Analysis:• Develop and manage financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into financial performance and support decision-making.• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Process Optimization:• Identify and implement improvements to data management and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.• Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize data systems and ensure alignment with business needs.
Stakeholder Communication:• Present data findings and insights to senior management and other stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.• Address data-related inquiries and provide support for financial decision-making processes.
Compliance and Controls:• Ensure data management practices comply with organizational policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.• Implement and monitor internal controls related to data accuracy and integrity.
Strategic Support:• Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.• Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and plans through comprehensive data analysis.
Team Leadership:• Lead and mentor a team of finance data analysts and specialists, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.• Manage team performance, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work and meeting of deadlines.

What You'll Need
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related field. Alternatively, equivalent experience. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred. • 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial data management or analysis.• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role. Experience in a regional or a multi-national organization preferred. • Insurance industry experience preferred, proficiency in strategic planning and goal setting.
Competencies:• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.• Proficiency in financial data systems and tools, including advanced Excel skills and familiarity with business intelligence (BI) software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in developing and guiding a team.• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey data insights effectively to senior management and stakeholders.• Experience with process optimization and a solid understanding of financial controls and compliance.
