The Sales Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting a select group of sales executives and leaders within an agency or region. This role requires a detail-oriented, well-organized individual with strong communication skills. This is an administrative position that supports our consultative, risk management approach to employee benefits, working alongside sales executives, account management, compliance, carriers, and third-party administrators to gather data and manage prospective clients through the sales and account management process. Responsible for acting as an advocate on behalf of the sales executive to ensure a superior experience. Works with the agency president, sales team leader, director of account management, and senior sales executives as needed with tasks and projects.

- Capable of “reading the room” and demonstrating a high level of business acumen.
- Assist the Sales Team Leader, Agency President, Director of Account Management, and assigned Senior Sales Consultants with tasks and projects.
- Provides support to the Account Management Team when needed.
- Coordinate multiple projects, ensuring timely and accurate client deliverables with effective problem solving and resolution skills.
- Plan and prepare for office events, meetings, and promotional activities, including printing/binding meeting notes and planning.
- Review and update office procedures to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Assist consultants with projects, presentations, and deliverables as needed.
- Schedule and manage appointments, follow-up meetings, and travel plans for select sales executives and prospective clients.
- Communicate with brokers as needed to place business.
- Assist in Intro, Discovery and Blueprint meetings as required.
- Represent AP positively and professionally at trade shows, conferences, and other events.
- Maintain RFP database responses and track lead activity for prospects.
- Document all interactions with clients and prospects in our management system for record keeping.
- Support Sales Executives in research and other lead-generating activities.
- Utilize AP University Training and other growth and development opportunities.
- Attend AP scheduled meetings.
- Assist with other projects and tasks as required.

- Tech savvy: proficient in navigating multiple systems, including the Microsoft Office Suite (notably Excel and PowerPoint).
