Summary: Assurety Consulting, a leader in the postal/parcel ecosystem, seeks highly qualified applicants for an Information Systems (IS) Compliance Officer position. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organization’s IT systems, data, and infrastructure comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and internal policies. This position bridges IT and compliance departments, safeguarding the organization against legal and regulatory risks related to information systems.
We are seeking a diligent Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role involves safeguarding our information systems, with a focus on Learning Management Systems (LMS) and document control. You will assist in monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, while also contributing to the development and maintenance of security documentation.
Conditions of Employment (REQUIRED):

- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with standard security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
General Job Duties:
- 1. Security Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to detect potential threats.
- Investigate and document security breaches and incidents.
- Assist in vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments.
- 2. LMS Security Management:
- Ensure the security of LMS platforms by implementing access controls and user authentication mechanisms.
- Regularly update and patch LMS software to mitigate vulnerabilities.Provide security training and support to LMS users.
- 3. Documentation Control:
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Create detailed reports on security incidents and resolutions.
- Document security configurations and changes
- 4. Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
- Prepare documentation for compliance audits.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or relevant experience in a cybersecurity role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security , Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or similar.
