ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

50% Analyzes data from mainframe and PC applications to prepare reports for use by the actuarial staff.

 

20%  Provides financial testing of pricing models with PC applications.

 

10% Supports testing procedures for policy administration and sales illustrations software.       

 

10%  Responsible for routine departmental reporting functions.     

        

10%  Provides general support for members of Product Management for various tasks, as requested.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Analytical, organizational, and basic problem-solving skills required.
  • Some advanced mathematical and statistical ability required.
  • Some familiarity with business and insurance concepts required.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills required.
  • Word processing and spreadsheet software proficiency required.
  • Talent required in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, resourcefulness, command, relationship-extension, and exactness.

 

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Progress towards Actuarial Science degree.
  • Prefer at least 1 exam passed.

 

PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work minimum 15 hours a week within flex-time guidelines required.
  • Onsite internship in Lincoln, NE.
