ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
30% Responsible for providing high level of service to worksite and group administration clients, which includes:
- Understanding worksite and group products, policies and procedures, including bill reconciliation;
- Knowledge of electronic billing portal, promoting of and understanding of the functionality on both the Assurity billing side and group bill reconciliation side;
- Reconciling worksite and group and individual list bills accurately and timely and assisting other team members as needed;
- Providing information and guidance to employer clients on worksite and group policy provisions and company procedures;
- Following daily schedules for appropriate telephone coverage; and
- Ensuring compliance with company, state and federal regulations, including privacy regulations relating to customer information.
30% Responsible for daily production of worksite and group administration to meet customer service standards and measurements, which includes:
- Following and meeting established customer service standards and levels;
- Handling employer clients’ inquiries, requests, and relating to premium payments, billing schedule, billing modes, accounting breakdowns, reinstatements, benefit add/delete, surrender/terminations, employee bank drafts, loans, premium refunds, policy suspense, and general maintenance;
- Follow worksite and group products, policies and procedures when it comes to underwriting and WS Client Service procedures;
- Handling employer clients’ requests relating to tobacco change, benefit increases, benefit decreases, and adding and removing dependents:
- Knowledge of Policy Change underwriting rules and procedures, based on State, product, and employer/group and the ability to apply those specific rules when evaluating and approving the policy change requested.
- Ability to determine the new rate once the policy change is completed by reviewing the employe’s plan design and offer letter.
- Following procedures when reversing premiums to correct date of change and ensuring a refund is set if applicable:
- Coordinating with the worksite and group administration case set-up/initial bill setup for new business processing department by making a welcome call to the employer to ensure smooth transition for bill reconciliation;
- Generating and approving group contracts;
- Assisting the claims department as needed with group contract and eligibility issues;
- Monitoring delinquent group report and completing all administrative functions, including policy cancellations relating to policies on this report; and
- Staying abreast of industry-related developments and activities.
20% Responsible for relationship-building activities with employer clients, which includes:
- Being knowledgeable about products, procedures, and billing in order to handle all employer service requests;
- Knowledge of employer clients’ business and any other relevant business information;
- Ability to handle conservation efforts;
- Tracking and monitoring employer clients’ requests, follow-ups and outcomes;
- Assisting with employer and/or policyholder mailings and communications; and
- Staying abreast of industry-related developments and activities.
20% Preforms other functions, which includes:
- Process improvement planning and implementation;
- Assisting with and participating in team functions and events for the worksite and group administration department; and
- Serving as a member of various committees and implementation teams.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Three to five years of experience in business or related field required.
- Professional oral and written communication skills required.
- Decision-making ability required.
- Knowledge of worksite and group administration products, policies and procedures beneficial.
- Word processing and spreadsheet software proficiency required.
- Accounting experience beneficial.
- Proven relationship-building skills.
- Telephone and customer service skills.
- Negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Ability to solve problems, analyze situations and make decisions.
- Ability to organize/prioritize a wide variety of information and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree, trade school certification or equivalent in related field required.
- Timely progression of completion of LOMA classes for ACS, PCS & FLMI designations.
PHYSICAL AND WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- May require work in excess of 40 hours per week in order to complete functions of position.
