About the Position
We seek a dedicated and experienced Program Director to join our team. This role combines administrative responsibilities with active involvement in teaching and caring for children.
- Administrative Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with DCFS regulations and licensing requirements.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, staffing, scheduling, and record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Child Care and Teaching:
- Actively engage in teaching and caring for children during designated hours.
- Evaluate and assess teaching methods and curriculum effectiveness.
- Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for teaching staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a licensed day care center setting; 5 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Meet the educational requirements specified by DCFS.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
