Responsibilities
- Evaluate User Requests: Collaborate with users to gather requirements for new or modified programs, ensuring that the developed solutions meet their needs for data management, reporting, and system functionality.
- Feasibility Analysis: Assess the feasibility of the user requests, taking into consideration the cost, time, current system compatibility, and available computer capabilities.
- Consultation with Users: Engage in discussions with users to understand current operating procedures, clarify objectives, and address any concerns related to the programs.
- Program Design and Methodology: Plan and design the program development process using methodologies like structured analysis, design, or object-oriented development.
- Documentation: Develop detailed documentation for all stages of the development lifecycle, including design, code, testing, and deployment procedures, to ensure ongoing maintenance and future updates.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Plan, develop, and execute tests to ensure the programs meet specifications, functionality, and performance standards.
- Consultation with Users:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the current data sources, functionality, and deployment procedures of the I2I database and ASEP public-facing dashboards.
- Gather detailed requirements for transforming the existing dashboards into public-facing versions.
- Solution Identification:
- Evaluate the best solution to adapt the existing I2I dashboards from a secure environment to a public-facing format while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Data Extraction, Loading, and Deployment:
- Develop and test a procedure to extract, load, and deploy data between the I2I database and PowerBI dashboards.
- Ensure that the data flow is secure, accurate, and efficient.
- Adapting Dashboards for Public-Facing Deployment:
- Plan and develop a solution to adapt the existing PowerBI dashboards for deployment in a public-facing environment.
- Test the solution thoroughly to ensure compatibility and performance.
- Solution Deployment:
- Deploy the full solution to production, ensuring all components are functioning as intended.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Work with the EDRS team to incorporate feedback from user acceptance testing.
- Address any identified issues or improvements and finalize the dashboard design for production deployment.
- Documentation for Ongoing Maintenance:
- Develop comprehensive documentation for the entire development cycle, including data extraction and loading procedures, deployment instructions, and guidelines for ongoing dashboard maintenance and future updates.
- Consultation with Users:
- Meet with users to understand the data sources, functionality, and deployment procedures for the existing ArcGIS map.
- Gather requirements for the new PowerBI-based map.
- PowerBI Map Development:
- Plan and develop a PowerBI map based on the user requirements, ensuring it meets the expectations for functionality, interactivity, and design.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Adjust the map features and functionality based on the feedback to meet the user requirements.
- Documentation for Ongoing Maintenance:
- Create detailed documentation outlining the development process, map functionality, data integration, and procedures for future updates or maintenance.
