ASSYST is seeking a QA Engineer Automated 3 to support our client in Texas. It is a Hybrid position and preferably local to Texas only.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation test scripts for application workflow processes.
- Create detailed test cases and test scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage for various system workflows and functionalities.
- Maintain and update the Unified Functional Testing (UFT) Test Suites for regular regression testing of the system.
- Execute automated regression test scripts and log results.
- Prepare necessary test data to be loaded into the system’s database, ensuring compatibility with test cases.
- Execute automated and manual test scripts, log results, and provide clear reports on test execution outcomes.
- Document and track defects identified during testing, including detailed steps for defect reproduction.
- Collaborate with the development team to resolve defects and retest as necessary.
- Utilize analysis and diagramming tools to represent and communicate business processes.
- Apply historical and proven knowledge of testing best practices to ensure test coverage, quality, and consistency.
- Proficiency in database query languages (SQL, PL/SQL).
- Strong background in developing test suites using UFT or similar testing tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with peers and users at all levels.
- Experience in developing Requirements Traceability Matrices – 6 years of experience.
- Skilled in developing and executing test scripts – 6 years of experience.
- Experience in developing Test Plans and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) – 6 years of experience.
- Familiarity with general IT SDLC processes – 6 years of experience.
- Experience using JIRA for managing project/sprint tasks – 4 years of experience.
- Experience working in an Agile SDLC environment – 4 years of experience.
- Proficiency in using JIRA to track work assignments – 4 years of experience.
- Experience working on projects utilizing Agile project management methodologies – 1 year of experience.
