ASSYST seeks Senior Database Developer to support our government customer based in Texas.

Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced analysis involving all aspects of supporting, improving, and enhancing the database and reports for a large project.
- Requires strong SQL, PL/SQL and Stored Procedure skills.
- Devise approaches to solving complex problems, provide thought leadership, manage project scope, and provide ongoing updates on project status.
- The worker will also need to exhibit a high level of skill in data aggregation and analysis.
- This position works for the section of IT-SEDS (Information Technology – Statewide Education Data System).
- Work assignments follow a defined software development life cycle (SDLC) process using an Agile-like approach for completing code changes for defined releases.
- This role works across multiple agency stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and efficacy of created reports, in the service of Texas’s 1200 school districts.

Minimum Requirements:
Required Experience
- 8 years of experience in designing, coding and supporting using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Stored Procedures and functions Development
- Unit Testing
- Agile
- Jasper Reports Development
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge of JIRA/Bitubucket
