ASSYST is seeking a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to support our government client project based in Austin, TX. Performs User Interface and Web Services development and support for several HHSC IT applications. Activities will include front-end development using modern, responsive technology such as Angular or React; converting SOAP-based services to RESTful services; and development of new RESTful web services using a JBoss EAP environment.

- Participate in requirements analysis, high-level and detailed design, development, testing, and deployment of new application components.
- Collaborate with other teams to achieve project goals.
- Create and maintain technical and design documentation.
- Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Analyze and tune software for performance and configuration improvements.
- Develop and maintain data and process models.
- Use contemporary testing methods to ensure application reliability.
- Provide technical support during testing and implementation.
- Participate in design, code, and test review meetings.
- Support and maintain web-based Java applications in an SOA platform, including defect repair and performance improvement.
- Front End/UI development for enterprise-class JEE applications.
- Server-side/Web Services development on the JEE platform.
- Experience with JEE Application Server, authentication, authorization, and caching strategies.
- Proficiency in: Java, JEE, REST/SOAP web services, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, CSS3, Bootstrap, SASS, TypeScript, Spring, JSP, Struts, JSON, XML, JWT, Maven, OpenAPI v3, and OAuth.
- Implementation of responsive, client-facing applications.
- Minimum 4 years of experience building SPAs using Angular (TypeScript).
- Minimum 4 years of experience securing RESTful services with JWT, OAuth, etc.
- Integration of web services into Angular or React-based SPAs.
- Experience developing reusable, self-contained, and testable modules/components.
- Adherence to best practices for design, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Experience with JBoss or IBM WebSphere Application Server (v8 ).
- Experience with Agile methodologies, preferably Scrum.
- Development experience for mobile and tablet platforms.
