Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Rockville, MD (Hybrid)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee information technology projects of the highest sensitivity and complexity.
- Execute project plans and revise as authorized to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Evaluate project goals, risks, and constraints to determine the most effective project management methodology (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid).
- Assist stakeholders in identifying and documenting business problems and project goals through the completion of business cases.
- Facilitate communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making processes among multiple stakeholders while proactively removing barriers.
- Ensure project needs and objectives are clearly communicated, and teams have all necessary information and resources to complete tasks.
- Adhere to the defined Enterprise Project Management (EPM) governance process.
- Maintain documentation reflecting any changes to scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Translate and document conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements and user stories in a clear and comprehensive manner.
- Proactively keep stakeholders and senior management informed of project status and respond to status requests on demand.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- A minimum of twelve (12) years of professional, hands-on experience in the information technology field as a project or program manager.
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification at the time of application.
