The Web Administrator collaborates with IT teams, content managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure all content is up-to-date, functional, accessible, and aligned with best practices. This role requires deep knowledge of the Drupal content management system (CMS), a strong design sensibility, and a proven ability to manage complex web environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing website migrations, ensuring seamless transitions of content and functionality across multiple related sites.
- Maintain and update web content, graphics, tables, and layouts in accordance with usability and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize website performance, speed, and scalability.
- Ensure browser and device compatibility through thorough testing of code, design, and content.
- Monitor analytics and performance metrics, and implement SEO and performance optimization strategies.
- Act as a liaison between the Communications Division and the IT Web Services team, translating technical requirements into user-focused communication solutions.
- Provide guidance and support to content contributors across departments to ensure proper CMS use and adherence to web standards.
- Maintain consistent design and information architecture across all website sections.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and other relevant accessibility standards.
- Support the remediation of digital content such as presentations, forms, and documents to meet accessibility requirements.
- Promote best practices in content governance, quality control, and responsive/mobile-first design.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in web administration and design, including oversight of large, complex websites.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Drupal CMS, including content creation, taxonomy, and navigation.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UI/UX and complex web design projects.
- Solid experience managing ongoing website content operations and updates.
- Deep understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and ability to implement accessible design and content.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization techniques.
- Proficiency with responsive design and mobile-first strategies.
- Ability to translate technical language into clear, actionable communication for non-technical users.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government, education, or large-scale public sector websites.
- Familiarity with accessibility remediation tools and practices.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of web analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
