ASSYST is seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft Functional Consultant to support our client in Austin, TX. The consultant will review the current configuration of the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (CAPPS) within the Finance division. The goal of this position is to enhance system efficiency, evaluate best use cases to reduce staff workload, improve accuracy in reporting, and minimize system maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with cross-divisional executives, directors, and other stakeholders, as directed by the CFO, to review current CAPPS business processes.
- Coordinate functional and technical resources when collaboration is required.
- Lead analysis to re-engineer or develop processes for efficient use of the CAPPS Financial system.
- Collaborate with business customers to gather system and process improvement requirements and report development needs.
- Ensure consistent use of project-standardized processes and forms, including Functional Design Documents, Key Design Decisions, Change Controls, Risk and Issue logs, Scope Documentation, Configuration Documentation, Business Process Flows, and other project documents.
- Provide input to project management for estimating effort levels for customer-requested activities.
- Prepare detailed documentation to support assigned activities as requested by management.
- Perform testing and configuration as needed.
- Design, test, and build queries to improve business processes.
Experience Required:
- Proficiency in CAPPS Business Process Design/Redesign/Reengineering best practices.
- Strong experience in Business/System/Data Analysis and Improvement.
- Development expertise in various reporting mechanisms.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP/CAPPS Financials/PeopleSoft within Texas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in CAPPS GL, Commitment Control, Purchasing, E-Procurement, AP, Cash Receipts, Inventory, Assets, and Grants.
- Implementation and post-go-live experience with PeopleSoft Financial modules, with a focus on process improvement.
- Experience leading five or more State Agency CAPPS Financial Implementations.
- Familiarity with TCAPPS configuration with TEA.
