AST SpaceMobile and our global partners are building the first and only space-based cellular broadband network to be accessible by standard smartphones. Called SpaceMobile, this ultra-powerful network is being designed to provide connectivity at 4G / 5G speeds everywhere on the planet – on land, at sea and in flight.
Summary :
The Buyer is responsible for assisting in the selection and purchasing of quality products at our Production facility in Midland, TX from a group of vendors and suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assist in maintaining current inventory.
- Assists in research, analysis, and forecasting of current and future buying trends, and products.
- Maintains relationships with assigned wholesalers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Assists in negotiation of contracts with select wholesalers, vendors, and suppliers.
- May be assigned to projects to support procurement of goods and services.
- May be assigned commodities to manage procurement and inventory levels.
- Maintains relationships with internal customers.
- Clear reporting of progress and expected deliveries.
- Infrequent travel may be required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
