ABOUT THE POSITION

The successful candidate will possess the following skills, abilities and experience:

• Follows safe working practices and procedures
• Follows current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
• . Operates and maintains equipment
• Monitors production processes and equipment
• Performs standardized testing
• Documents production by completing detailed records

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Food Safety and Security

• Responsible for upholding the principles of the Company's food safety certification program.
• Responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Position does not directly supervise others.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in a related field, preferred
• 2 plus years of relevant operations experience
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of cGMP and HACCP, preferred
• Ability to work within a team and establish effective working relationships
• Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize
• Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail

Certificates, Licenses or Registrations

None

Computer Skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office

Other Requirements

• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including flexible days and hours.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is indoors in a normal office environment. Duties require working in a laboratory environment with routine duties in an industrial environment.
