We are looking for an experienced educator at the High School level. We are a wonderful Christian School and have classroom sizes anywhere from 5-12 students per class. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic excellence among students. This role requires effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in various subjects, with a particular emphasis on math. The teacher will also be responsible for utilizing learning technology and providing academic advising to support student success.

Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them set and achieve educational goals.
• Conduct research to stay updated on best practices in education and incorporate findings into teaching methods.
• Facilitate library services for students, guiding them in research projects and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience within the school community.
• Assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback for improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain discipline while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
• Familiarity with higher education teaching methodologies is an advantage.
• Experience in academic advising or mentoring students is desirable.
• Proficiency in utilizing learning technology for instructional purposes.
• Background in research laboratory settings is a plus, particularly for science-related subjects.
• A solid understanding of math concepts and the ability to teach them effectively.
