About The Position
The Oracle Subject Matter & System Expert is responsible for Oracle portfolio projects. This position will report to the Global Process Owner (GPO). This key position will be relied upon as the principal subject matter expert for the administrative functionality of the Oracle implementation and post implementation maintenance.
The position will elicit, analyze, specify, validate, and document the stated and implicit needs of Astec and outside users of the platform. He or she will serve as a liaison between the project team and its stakeholders to define business and system processes through workflows and written requirements. This will include developing current and future state data and process maps and identifying gaps and remediation plans with the new systems.

Key Activities & Responsibilities
- Supports Global Process Owners and Business Analysts in developing and maintaining documentation for configurations, setup, issue resolutions, integrations, customizations, etc.
- Support Global Process Owners by identifying and documenting operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations to address evolving business needs.
- Support Oracle Business Analysts with implementing system improvements based on business needs.
- Support the development of reporting capabilities and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for platform users.
- Collaborate, troubleshoot, and support across value streams.
- Support Global Process Owners and Oracle Business Analysts in identifying, solutioning, resolving and proactively addressing user needs.
- Responsible for facilitation of end user training and collaboration with OCM Instructional Designers on design of training materials in accordance with software improvements and upgrades.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude for, and experience supporting, web-based applications or SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to understand business processes and their relationship with application functionality.
- Able to identify and solicit feedback from affected positions within Astec.
- The ability to work within a team and across functions with minimal supervision is required.
- Must be able to support the solution of problems at both a strategic and tactical level, in alignment with OneASTEC vision.
- Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required.
- Must be able to work well within and across functional teams.
- Strong ability to facilitate and lead meetings and discussions.
- The ability to solve practical and complex problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited resources may exist is required.
