What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Quality Engineer position at Astemo?
Description
Supplier Quality Management Engineering focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements including: Verifying and validating that suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities. Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity. Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues. An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
