DEPARTMENT: Purchasing
JOB TITLE: Supply Chain and Technical Leader
REPORTS TO: Director of Manufacturing

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure competitive terms and pricing for the organization
• Evaluate and select new suppliers based on price, quality and delivery, as well as qualify new raw material types and streams
• Analyze and forecast product demand to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Develop and implement procurement strategy to reduce costs and streamline operations
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as production and sales
• Manage and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely receipt of materials
• Implement and maintain procurement policies that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices
• Purchase of materials such as resin, compounds, finishes, latex, foam, etc., to support Fiber, Fabric and Finishing departments
• Schedule Fiber with MRP system and other tools to analyze demand from sales orders and forecast
• Review COA’s for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist day to day Fiber operations

ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS:

• Must possess solid analytical and forecasting skills
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress
• Excellent verbal, telephone, and written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Good interpersonal skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
• Excellent math, communication and analytical skills
• Contract negotiation and buying experience required
• Extrusion experience required
