What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Aster Assisted Living?
Aster Assisted Living of Clintonville is accepting applications for our Dietary Aide position. The dietary aide helps serve residents at our small community during their meals times. This position is part-time and no experience is necessary.
Job Summary
- A Dietary Aide is responsible to facilitate food service outside of a restaurant environment.
Tasks
- Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines, such as those for special diets, are followed.
- Clean or sterilize dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, or facilities.
- Begin to construct food trays for in-room service, making sure that the trays contain the required items.
- Stock service stations and tables with condiments, ice, napkins, straws, creamers, butters, etc.
- Remove and scrape dirty dishes, glasses, and utensils and return to kitchen after meals are finished.
- Wipe tables and seats of chairs with dampened cloths and/or replace dirty tablecloths.
- Set tables with clean linens, condiments, or other supplies.
- Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
- Perform serving, cleaning, or stocking duties in order to facilitate customer service.
- Serve ice water, coffee, rolls, or butter to patrons.
- Locate items requested by residents
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience may be helpful, but is not required.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position listed above including the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds, walking, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.75 - $12.75 per hour
