What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Assistant Float position at Astera Health?
Astera Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide quality care for all patients. This position is accountable for the delivery of safe treatment and care of patients of all ages in accordance with established policies, procedures, state and federal regulations. The nursing assistant will float between multiple departments dependent on departmental needs.
Open positions include:
- 72 hours bi-weekly, 12 hours shifts (day or night), every third weekend and holiday rotation
- 48 hours bi-weekly, 12 hour shifts (day or night), every third weekend and holiday rotation

Some responsibilities of the Inpatient Nursing Assistant include, but are not limited to the following:

Observing and reporting patient data

Performing patient care and assistance

Ensuring applicable patient and family needs are met

Taking patient records

Maintaining patient care supplies
Education and experience required:
- Nurse’s Aide Technical Training or Certification
- Maintain active BLS certification
