What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Astera Health?
This position is scheduled for 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period, Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM, while also covering inpatients every 7-8 weekends. Responsibilities required, but not limited to:
- Formulates total treatment programs, adjusts program to each patient’s needs and condition to ensure a positive outcome.
- Carries out treatments in accordance with physician’s orders. Contacts physicians as needed concerning patient condition or progress to maintain continuity of care.
- Documents evaluation and progress notes for each patient treated.
- Follows established policies, procedures, and safety precautions with use of modalities and equipment to prevent injury.
- Provides patient care in a safe manner during treatments.
- Provides physical therapy services as requested by Astera Health to meet outreach needs. Complete all documentation in adherence to Astera Health and CMS standard with 24 hours of treatment session
- Will work with in the rural general setting for treatment in areas of orthopedics, athletes, and neurological therapy across all ages.
- Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Minnesota
- 3 years of experience in aspects of rehabilitative medicine; Or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position.
