What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiologic Technologist position at Astera Health?
Astera Health is currently accepting applications for a XR/CT Technologist.
This position is scheduled for 72 hours per biweekly pay period, 12 hours shifts from 8:00am - 8:30pm, as well as working every 5th weekend and holiday. Responsibilities required, but not limited to:
- Instructs and prepares patients for exams.
- Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.
- Makes special radiographic examinations requiring special equipment and procedures.
- Programs portable or stationary x-ray machines and makes radiographs for a variety of examinations.
- Processes x-ray cassettes and manipulates images for optimal quality.
- Reviews images on PACS and sends to radiologist workstations.
- Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
- Assists in maintaining records and reports.
- Takes x-ray call, and CT call according to the monthly schedule after the closing of the regular department hours.
- Completion of a formal training in an AMA approved school for Registered Radiologic Technologists
- A. R. R. T. Certification
- 1-2 years experience in a hospital setting performing x-rays and CT is preferred
