Job Description :
The Physician Liaison is responsible for devising and implementing a strategic plan to maintain and increase referrals from healthcare providers within their designated territory. This role heavily emphasizes the use of data for analysis, targeted outreach, and territorial expansion. The Physician Liaison must achieve predetermined growth objectives within their specified region, demonstrating a thorough grasp of the oncology landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new referral networks while nurturing relationships with current referring physicians.
- Initiate and maintain regular communication with referring providers and / or their office staff through various channels including peer-to-peer interactions, routine or follow-up visits, emails, and phone calls.
- Utilize Salesforce and OneAnalytics to analyze market trends, monitor new patient volumes, develop territory plan, and track new patient growth.
- Achieve weekly visit targets and promptly record activity in Salesforce.
- Review monthly performance results, implement monthly variance reporting, and monitor, review, and report on all activity and outcomes.
- Identify and address any workflow / system issues that hinder / slow the process for referring providers.
- Serve as the point of contact and work alongside the physician organization groups for the practice.
- Assist in coordinating community speaking events for physicians and clinical staff.
- Distribute competitive intelligence, covering factors impacting the territory, business threats, and pertinent information, to the relevant practice leadership.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
