We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Head of UI / UX Design to lead our design team and shape the user experience of our products. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in UI / UX design, a strong creative background, and a proven track record of delivering visually stunning and user-friendly interfaces. This leadership role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring designers, and driving the overall design strategy to align with business objectives.

In this role, you will support the business team in shaping the visual identity of our brand across various platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to create visually compelling materials that engage our target audience and drive business growth. This includes designing marketing collateral, product mockups, social media content, and more.

Job Requirements :

• Define and drive the overall UI / UX design vision, strategy, and standards across products and platforms.
• Lead and mentor a team of UI / UX designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers and developers, to align design goals with business objectives.

User-Centered Design :

• Advocate for a user-first approach, ensuring designs meet the needs and expectations of target users.
• Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.
• Develop user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to illustrate design concepts.

Creative Direction :

• Oversee the creation of visually compelling interfaces, ensuring consistency with branding and design guidelines.
• Push the boundaries of design innovation while maintaining usability and accessibility.
• Guide the use of cutting-edge tools and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Process Optimization :

• Establish and improve UI / UX workflows, processes, and documentation.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in UI / UX design, sharing insights with the team.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless implementation of designs.

Technical Skill Requirements :

1) Strong creative background with expertise in visual design, interaction design, and information architecture .

2) Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.

3) Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying data-driven insights to designs.

4) Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development practices to collaborate effectively with developers.

5) Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design principles.

6) Excellent portfolio demonstrating creative and user-centered design solutions.

Preferred Qualifications :

1) Experience with motion design, micro-interactions, or designing for emerging technologies (AR / VR, AI) .

2) Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics or Hotjar to gather insights on user behavior.

3) Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

4) Strong communication and storytelling skills to present design concepts effectively to stakeholders.

1) Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.

2) Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

3) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

4) A proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for user experience and creativity.

Academic Requirements :

Not much. If you can fulfill the aforementioned skill requirements, we don’t care about your academic background. Your skills matter. Certificates and CGPA are secondary. But if you have a degree (Bachelor or Masters), it’s a plus of course.

All we need from you is a super-hungry learning habit and a geeky-techie spirit.

If you have a strong portfolio of complex applications / software / tools that you worked on, that would be terrific.

Experience :

6-8 years of experience in UI / UX design with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
