Job Title : Medical SchedulerJob DescriptionThe Medical Scheduler assesses a large volume of phone calls and requests both clinical and non-clinical in nature while providing superior customer service and maintaining a one-call resolution standard.Remote can be granted based on performance and reliabilityResponsibilitiesAssess a high volume of incoming calls and requests.Schedule appointments including but not limited to physicals, office visits, consults, hospital follow-ups, and CDL exams for 100 multi-specialty physicians and other medical professionals.Utilize all resources available to efficiently and effectively assist all callers.Transfer / warm-transfer calls to other departments and / or staff members when appropriate.Gather all pertinent information for requests and relay messages to clinical staff members accordingly.Handle emergencies according to specified procedures.Use NextGen medical software and Microsoft Outlook on a daily basis.Essential SkillsCustomer Service experience within a Call Center or as a healthcare receptionist.Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel.Healthcare is highly preferred in a call center, medical records, customer service, etc.Experience in outbound call handling, scheduling appointments, and managing multi-line phones.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma.2 years of healthcare experience.Work EnvironmentThe position is located in Poughkeepsie and operates Monday to Friday from 9 : 30 AM to 6 : 00 PM with a Saturday rotation (one Saturday every 4-6 weeks from 8 AM to 5 PM). Employees can either work the straight-through shift or take a day off in the middle of the week, such as Wednesday. The role includes a 30-minute lunch break and requires working with minimal supervision and comfort in working independently.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
