Aston Carter is looking to hire a Purchasing Specialist for an opening in Cleveland, Ohio!
Responsibilities
- Find appropriate suppliers for sub-components and secondary operations and purchase as required.
- Manage and issue Purchase Orders for Production and Sub-Contracting.
- Purchase steel and other raw materials as required to meet operational due dates while managing working capital turns.
- Ensure delivery of materials meets customer schedules and expedite product as required.
- Oversee cycle counting and inventory management.
- Work with team members to ensure inventory accuracy of company and customer-supplied materials.
- Ensure supplier and delivery commitments are met through continuous follow-up regarding order status, vendor performance, and resolution of quality and supply issues.
- Continually evaluate planning and materials control processes, methodologies, and system tools to drive process improvements.
- Communicate effectively through all levels of the organization, suppliers, and customers.
- Use and update ERP system, generate reports, and verify inventory of purchased items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
