CENTRAL SUPPLY CLERK
The Central Supply Clerk is responsible for managing the inventory, ordering, and distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials for the facility. This role ensures that all departments have the necessary resources to provide outstanding care while maintaining compliance with facility policies and regulatory guidelines.
CENTRAL SUPPLY CLERK RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other essential materials.
- Order, receive, and distribute supplies to nursing staff and other departments.
- Track supply usage and anticipate needs to prevent shortages.
- Ensure all supplies are properly labeled, stored, and rotated to maintain quality control.
- Maintain supply records, invoices, and purchase orders in accordance with facility policies.
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective purchasing.
- Assist in budgeting and cost-control efforts by identifying opportunities for savings.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure proper handling of sterile and non-sterile supplies.
- Provide support to nursing staff by ensuring they have the necessary equipment readily available.
- Conduct regular audits of supply inventory and address discrepancies.
