Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities of patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals
Provide therapy services to individuals with communication disorders, articulation difficulties, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders
Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance communication skills
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to coordinate patient care
Monitor progress, document therapy sessions, and maintain accurate records
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies for communication improvement and home-based practice

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements :

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment approaches

Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals

Proficiency in conducting evaluations and using assessment tools

Flexibility to work with diverse populations and age groups
