Housekeeping Manager oversees housekeeping services ensuring that rooms and premises are clean and organized.
The ideal Housekeeping Manager candidate is energetic, organized and has strong multitasking abilities.
Duties Include:
- The Housekeeping Manager works closely with Human Resources
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships
- Ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure implementation of Safety & Disaster Preparedness Plan, Policies & Procedures and regulatory compliance (e.g. licensing, OSHA, etc.)
- Procure and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
- Ensure all safety measures are used when housekeeping duties are being performed (e.g. wet floor signs, chemicals are secured and labeled, etc.)
- Maintain required records, reports, and equipment/supply manual
- Interview, hire, train, manage and retain highly effective staff
- Supervise housekeeping staff
- Reviews hours for payroll
- Prepare a staffing schedule
- Perform other related duties as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- All Housekeeping Manager candidates must be proficient in basic computer programs and must be able to correspond timely through e-mail or other forms of technical communication as needed to successfully complete the requirements for this job.
- Housekeeping Management experience a plus
- Nursing Home experience a plus
- This position requires a candidate that is quick to learn and has exceptional customer service skills.
