What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN MDS COORDINATOR position at Astoria Place of Cambridge?
We have a full-time opportunity for a qualified RN who will ensure completion of the MDS, associated documentation, Care Area Assessment Summary (CAA’s), and care plans within the regulatory guidelines as outlined in the Resident Assessment Instrument regulations. This includes both assuring accuracy and timeliness of all required MDSs. This person will provide oversight of the Prospective Payment System (PPS) and Patient Driven Payment System (PDPM) for our residents in our skilled nursing facility. Will also act as a clinical coordinator by considering all aspects of residents’ care, and coordinating services with physicians, families, third party payers, and facility staff. The ideal candidate will have a current RN license, have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a health care setting, a minimum of 1 year of experience in a long term care setting. Prior experience as an MDS Coordinator with demonstrated expertise is preferred. Knowledge of PCC Point Click Care is a plus.
