Location: Individual may be based near any Astound office nationwide. Mostly remote position, but may need to commute into the local office as needed on an intermittent basis

Astound Broadband is looking for a Senior Director of Business Development, this individual may be based near any Astound office nationwide. Mostly remote position, but may need to commute into the local office as needed on an intermittent basis. This position will find and cultivate relationships with national building owners, managers and consultants to provide information on Astound and our offerings and provide opportunities for Astound markets. Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astounds Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work.

Where you will work:

  • Individual may be based near any Astound office Nationwide. Mostly remote position, but may need to commute into the local office as needed on an intermittent basis
  • Opportunity offers the flexibility to work from your home office, or a nearby Astound office, or a combination of both

A Day in the Life of the Senior Director, Business Development:

  • Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astounds Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work.
  • Find and cultivate relationships with various groups who own, manage, consult or advise decision makers in multifamily housing
  • Research influential organizations that Astound should be a part of to further develop our multifamily exposure
  • Research strategic conventions that Astound should be a part of to further develop our multifamily exposure
  • Assist with markets, when needed, to close multifamily housing contracts to serve properties
  • Retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides career coaching, growth, and personal development for direct/indirect report employees
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Experience working with realtors and property management firms is preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, ability to be resourceful and possesses solid negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding business acumen
  • Expert at managing deadlines and excels at building relationships
  • Must be well organized with strong communication skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work independently
  • Computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office Suite products
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Experience in discovering and growing strategic relationships
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Can work in a consultative role as support

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business or Management or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience: Fifteen years of working in a relationship building role preferred

Base Salary: The base salary range in IL for this position is $150,000-$175,000 annually plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to IL and may not be applicable to other locations.

Commissions at plan: Targeted commissions at full attainment could be up to $50,000 or more annually. Our sales total compensation offers the potential for significant upside above targeted earnings for those who overachieve their sales targets.
