**Job Summary**
Astrana Care Hospitalists is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine and Internal Medicine trained physicians to join our inpatient medicine program. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients at contracted hospitals year-round.
Job Description:
We are partnered with Astrana Health and Allied Pacific IPA to provide acute care to underserved populations in the San Gabriel Valley, focusing on diversity, equality, and inclusion. Our hospitalist program aims to coordinate with primary care physicians, specialists, and healthcare teams to ensure smooth transitions of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for 5 hospitals: Garfield Medical Center, Alhambra Hospital, San Gabriel Valley Medical Center, Monterey Park Hospital, and USC Arcadia
- Collaborate with intensivist support team, ensuring no codes or procedures are performed
- Work closely with multispecialty support teams, including cardiothoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and neuro-interventional radiology
- Adhere to a 7 on/7 off schedule with optional extra shifts
- Participate in nocturnist shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, admitting 3-6 patients per shift
- Ensure seamless patient care through coordination with primary care physicians and healthcare teams
Requirements:
- Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school
- Current California State Medical License
- Current DEA Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and/or Spanish languages (optional)
