What You'll Do
- Perform high-quality MRI scans with a focus on technical expertise, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
- Lead the development and implementation of efficient workflows to optimize MRI operations and patient throughput at outpatient imaging sites.
- Act as a technical resource for MRI staff, providing hands-on training, support, and guidance to junior technologists to maintain consistent imaging quality.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with MRI-specific regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, ACR, and safety guidelines).
- Collaborate with radiologists and providers to ensure MRI protocols meet clinical needs and uphold quality expectations.
- Troubleshoot MRI equipment issues and coordinate with vendors or leadership for maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Support team development by mentoring junior MRI technologists and fostering a collaborative, efficient work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with strong technical expertise in MRI scanning.
- ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) required.
- Experience in a fast-paced outpatient MRI setting with a demonstrated interest in optimizing workflows, ideally including familiarity with tools such as tech aides or AI acceleration software.
- Working knowledge of MRI safety, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example and support a small team.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This is a full-time on-site position at outpatient imaging centers in the San Gabriel Valley region (Alhambra, Monterey Park, San Gabriel, City of Industry), with travel between sites as needed for cross-coverage, training, or mentorship purposes.
- The total compensation target pay range for this role is between $55 - $75 per hour. This pay range represents our national target range for this role. Total compensation will be evaluated based on experience, certifications, and skillsets.
- Hours of operation will typically be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with weekend coverage.
